Monthly Archives: August 2008

Summer’s last days are upon us. The day time air is dryer and less steamy. The sun is lower in the afternoon sky casting a warm glow. The evening air is cool and crisp and a pleasure to sleep in. The fruits and vegetables are ripe and fallen off the vine, ready to be devoured.

I don’t mind summer coming to a close. The changing of the seasons is a welcome treat and something I always look forward to. I always think of them as new beginnings even if at the time there really isn’t anything new beginning. It’s refreshing to see the changes mother nature does to make way for the new season. I think I would get bored if I were in a climate where I couldn’t see the leaves turn beautiful colors of rust, gold, yellow and red. The smell in the air of autumn is one you can’t bottle up and try to sell. You have to be around it and it has to be around you, falling down beside you like the leaves falling from the tree. It’s nice to hear the crunch under your feet of those leaves and that wonderful smell they release into the air.

My favorite season is coming upon us and while I’ll be sad to see summer go with it’s long hot days and warm evenings I welcome Autumn with open arms.

This was taken a couple of months ago and when I came across it I was reminded that we still have to work on getting Hayley’s senior portraits done. We will probably come back in here as well as finding other lesser known locations. I’m looking forward to taking more photos of one of my favorite subject. She is more then willing to get photographed and they come out looking great as she is naturally photogenic. Hope to post some new test shots soon!

“The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity.”

Happy Saturday!!

Hope the new blog is working ok for everyone. I’m very please with it so far. While it was alot of work to get under way it was well worth it. Mixed in with working on the blogs I was able to do about 3 hours of yard work which had been long overdue! Feels good to get these projects accomplished that I’ve had on my mind.
