I’m having my first photography show coming up and the opening is this Saturday, May 02. The show will run till May 22. I am a tad nervous about it. It’s kind of like why I never hosted a party.. I think what if no one shows up! Sure people say they will but what if they don’t. Ok.. so.. say they do show up to the show this Saturday, well then I think, what if they don’t like what they see and they think my work sucks.. lol. I’m not used to putting myself at the center of attention however I think it will be good for me. Getting my feet wet and preparing for doing  more of it. If anything it will make my skin thicker.

Of course I’m also looking forward to it at the same time. Excited to see my work hung up and for people to look at it. It’s a big step and I do feel in many ways I’m ready for it despite the aforementioned insecurities. Sometimes its good to just put it all out there.

For anyone in Hallowell, ME this coming weekend feel free to stop by and visit me at the opening reception on May 02, 2:00 – 5:00 pm at           Hallowell & Wine, 122 Water St.

The show itself runs from May 02 – May 22, 2009

Yes it’s finally here.. SPRING. Well I know spring officially came last month but seeing this beautiful tulip bud in my garden this morning really proves to me that Spring is here. In fact I have quite a few tulips buds waking up and eager to great this beautiful day. It’s going to be warm today and will only get warmer as the weekend approaches.. crazy weather but I’ll take it. It’s been a long winter and we all need some much needed warmth along with signs of renewed growth. They both are needed to help clear out the winter chill and sedentary life style some of us have developed in need to keep warm over the long snowy, cold months. Now we can put away the heavy blankets, throw open the windows and romp around outside!!

Can ya tell I’m excited??

Hayley and I went to Boston last week and had a great time. The above photo is when we were at the Cafe Vittoria in the North End of Boston. It’s where I got to get a real cappucino. We ended up having two.. they are wonderful. I haven’t been able to find one that even comes close to the ones made in the North End up here in Maine. Almost makes me want to move back to Boston.

We had a wonderful day. The sun was out and while a little breezy it was comfortable enough to be able to walk around. We walked alot! It’s one of the things I love most about Boston and visiting. You can walk on and on and see so many wonderful sites and smell so many great scents. It really does conjur up thoughts of coming back down to live.

We went down to pick up Hayley’s boyfriend who came up to visit from college for the weekend. The day was filled with a lot of laughing as per usual. Also ate some wonderful food. All in all a really great day.

Here are a couple more photo’s of Hayley..

here’s another one of myself that she took but I edited..
